Welcome our new director, Allison Floray

We're so excited to welcome Allison Floray to EPL as our new director! Allison brings great experience from her time at both Southern Lehigh Public Library and Parkland Community Library, and is a great addition to our team. Be sure to say hello and introduce yourself on your next visit!

Prize raffles added to Tee Time!

Tee Time at the Library is just a month away on March 7 & 8, offering everyone a chance to see how their putting skills stack up against 18 holes of mini golf in the stacks! Prizes will be drawn at the event on Saturday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m. (you need not be present to win). Raffle tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 10, at the desk: $1/1 ticket, $5/6 tickets, or $20/25 tickets. Cash, credit cards, and Venmo accepted. There will also be a 50/50 each day, and a children's guessing contest for fun prizes.

A Matter of Balance fall-prevention series starts March 13!

Did you know... 
95% of hip fractures are caused by falls. 
20% of falls cause a serious injury. 
Almost 30% of Pennsylvanians age 65 and older 
have reported a fall in the past 12 months.

Starting March 13, we're excited to be partnering with the Allentown Health Bureau to present A Matter of Balance, an award-winning series aimed at helping you reduce the risk and fear of falls, safely increase your activity levels, and improve your strength, flexibility and balance.

If you're 60 or older, concerned about falling, have had a fall in the past, or have restricted your activities due to concerns about falling, this class is designed for you.

The 8-week series will meet Thursdays, March 13 through May 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room.

Class size is limited to 12 people. To provide the best experience for you and all participants, and because these are continuous sessions, you are required to enroll in the full series.
